i having two doubts in CEF
1) usually we can't debug the packets which is not processed switched by cpu,,FIB table is in hardware, but after putting (no ip route cache cef) in interfaces i can see debug the packets which showing as routed from FIB , since we can debug only the packets which are processed by cpu but FIB table lookup is not processed by cpu, then how am getting this output..?
2)both fast switching and CEF having routing cache ,, both stored in TCAM memory,, so when packet arrives it first check in TCAM entries ,if it is not matches it moves to rib / fib (if CEF enabled) . am i rt? kindly correct me if am wrong anywhere
