Hello,
we use Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.1 and entered all devices with the correct SNMP/Telnet credentials. Now we want to change the access to the devices from telnet to ssh. The only way seems to be to edit every device and change the protocol from telnet to ssh, but this takes a lot of time because we have more than 800 switches. Is there a possibility to change this for all devices at onces (for example a global configuration parameter or a change in a configuration file).
Thanks in advance
Patrick

I haven't got exact 2.1 any more so check if you have any of these methods below .I would use credential profiles now but it was introduced from version 2.2
So try these
Inventory -> Select all devices -> Edit
This will bring up the bulk edit and change the credentials there
Or
Export and Bulk import can be used to manually edit set of devices if you want to have different credentials for different sections

I'm sure you'll be better off upgrading to 2.2.You would need to do that down the track anyway if you wish to upgrade to PI3. also If you export all your devices to a spread sheet using the export function in Inventory section .you'd be able to modify the credentials using Excel and upload it back with the updated credentials

Unfortunately a bulk edit is not possible: If i select more than one device the edit button is grayed. I think the best option is to upgrad to a newer version and use the credential profiles feature you mentioned above.
Thx and nice weekend
