Since we installed Cisco PI2.2 a few months ago I've noticed that most (if not all) the switches PI is managing now show that their config has been changed by PI on a nightly basis from both the console and also SNMP. The IP Address shown in the log is that of the PI server and the userID for the console config changes is that configured in the Device Credential Profile so I'm confident this is PI making the changes.
I've attached a screenshot that shows a typical log from a switch (I've removed the username and IP Address).
Is there any way to identify what changes are being made?? I've checked the config and there's nothing obvious changed that I can see.....

- Probably these entries do no poin to real changes in the config, but can also be attributed to the daily config-archiving that PI does.

Thanks - Is there anyway to identify what's happening??

I can't find it at the moment but recall there is a bug ID associated with this behavior.
It arises from the fact that PI logs in and goes into to config mode for some of the commands it runs daily. Even though it doesn't change anything, entering and leaving config mode generates the message that a "change" has occurred.

Thanks Marvin - If you find the details of that bug could you let me know the ID please. If it's not yet fixed I'll keep an eye out for the fix when it arrives.

Hi Bluey,
Prime goes into "conf t" to verify that it has the proper credentials on the specific device. If PI is pushing templates it needs to have write access, this is how it confirms.
This is the "desired" behavior. From my understanding in 3.0 they will allow you to tweak the frequency or disable it entirely.
It is not actually making any config changes; unless you push a template of course.
Hope that helps.
