I have 4 branch office, at 3 locations I am using cisco 2600 routers and at one of the locations I have setup Cisco 1812 router.
The IOS details are given below.
Cisco IOS Software, C181X Software (C181X-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(11)T2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc4)
Cisco 1812-J (MPC8500) processor (revision 0x400) with 118784K/12288K bytes of memory.
The average bandwidth utilization on 1812 router is 10mbps and CPU utilization is around 5%.
All WAN interfaces are hard coded with 100mbps/Full duplex and are negotiated for 100/full with the switch.
However when I perform a ping test to this remote location, I see frequent packets drops. I checked the Cisco router performance table from the cisco website, it should offer 35mbps throughput.
How can I resolve this situation? I have already replaced the L2 switch once. Is it really the throughput limitation on 1812 model?
