Hello everyone, I just want to ask if it's possible to give a user access to a router or switch to make configuration but prevent him from changing the username password that was given to him, thank you.
The answer to this depends on how you are authenticating the user. If the user name and password are locally configured on the device then I do not believe that you could prevent the user changing name or password. But if you authenticate users with an authentication server (Tacacs or Radius) and you do not give the user access to the server then the user would not be able to change name or password.
