I am not new to this game & have been doing this sort of thing now for a few years, but this one has me fairly baffled. I am working on a laptop that belongs to my father inlaw. It is a Thinkpad T40 2373-75m. when I first started to work on this system the wireless would not work at all. now with the moving around of some drivers & stuff i have managed to get the laptop to see the router but nomatter what i do i can not connect to it.
could someone please help me with this problem before it does my head in.

So you are using the 350 pcmcia card in the Thinkpad correct?
1. Are you using the cisco ADU or i think they call is the ACU in the 350s
2. What security are you using on the AP?

I am using the cisco 350 series that comes in the Thinkpad T40. I believe that it is the Cisco Aironet 350 Series Mini-PCI.
the Security that i run on the system is avast is that is of any help. or if you mean the encryption that i run then the router is running WPA2.
thankyou very much for your time
