Hello,

I have an issue that i just cannot get past and I am looking for some input as to why this is not working.

First of all some info on what I am using:

Cisco Network Assistant Ver 5.6 (3)

Cisco SG-500 (set to layer 2)

HTTP: OFF

HTTPS: ON

Telnet: OFF

SSH: ON

SNMP: ON

When I try and do the initial add of the switch I am using the following settings:

Name:Name of the switch (advanced I left at default read/write, but have tried read only as well).

Company name: our name as a company

Discover: Have selected multiple options, but the FAQ seems to point towards "devices using a seed IP address"

Seed IP: Ip of the switch

When i select start i get a connection error, I am not going across subnets, nor is there a firewall or any type of blocking software in the way, I can ping and manage the switch via HTTPS without issue...

Am i missing something here?

Thank you in advance.

Don

Oh and I did check the FAQ and it appears my switch is supported according to the list.
