Sure, as long as you don't mind having a relatively poor syslog server. Many other products do a better job.
SolarWinds has the Kiwi syslog server - their paid version of that is one of the better ones. Their NPM product also has a syslog server that's nicely integrated into their alerting toolset.
If all you need is the raw syslog messages you can just run syslog-ng on any Linux host.

I have a requirement to be PCI compliant for some devices, which means retaining the syslogs, maybe in an archive form, for 12 months. I was told by Cisco Support that Cisco Prime Infrastructure will not do this (although LMS does) and I should look for some other product for that capability.
