We keep getting these messages on our Nexus 7710 (all VDCs).
pam_aaa:Authentication failed from PI_address - dcos_sshd
These occur at random intervals and I don't seem to be able to figure out what function of Prime Infrastructure is responsible for this.
Prime uses AAA authentication, I do not have any failed attempts on ISE for the IP of Prime, and the device credentials for the devices in Prime have been verified and are correct. I know for a fact that some of the scheduled jobs towards the devices (N7K) are successful and do not log any messages, such as the one shown above.
Is there any guideline as to how to troubleshoot this issue? I would like to avoid deleting the devices.
