Cisco Prime (3.8) problem with CLI templates

Hi to all,

i am creating a very simple single command cli in order to distribute it to a number of cisco 9400 (IOS-XE).

The command is install commit.

But when i try to deploy the template to some Cat9400  it fails with the follwong message:

Error occured while executing the command install commit.Command Output : install commitinstall commit ^% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

Very strange because as i mentioned there is only one command the CLI template "install commit" without the quotes.

Any ideas?

Has anybody wrote a simple command in cli templates and gets "error occured while executing commnad" ?

 - Lookup the device model in the Device Support Matrix (second tab). Look at the minimum required XE version, make sure your device is compliant

all our 9407R have been upgraded to Cisco IOS Software [Gibraltar], Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT9K_IOSXE), Version 16.12.4, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc5).

Therefore according to the second tab of the excel you provided we are newer than the minimum version 16.6.1 .

As mentioned it is very strange as what i send to the 9400 is a very simple command "install commit" without the quotes.

I even tried to write the command in a third text editor and simply copy and paste in the template window. 

Any ideas are welcome.

unfortunately the problem continuous , when i issue the command from the cli it executes OK, but when i try to run the command with a CLI template it fails with the following result:

Error occured while executing the command install commit.Command Output : install commitinstall commit ^% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

If you notice it is like issuing two times the same command that is install commitinstall commit , which is not true as the cli template has only one command the "install commit".

I even tried different browsers but the problem continues.

Hi , having the same issue just using config t in cli template  , it duplicates the command causing the  job to fail . This is using Prime Infra 3.9. 

Let me know if a solution was ever provided.

Running into same issue -- Prime 3.9 simple CLI to Cisco IOS XE Software, Version 16.09.05, which should be supported.
