Cisco Prime - Group Templates

Hi all,

I'm implementing a new Cisco Prime v3.7

I've seen there's an option to create a group-template for the purpose of configuring multiple devices with the same configuration-template but for some reason when trying to deploy the configuration i can't run it because the system asks to re-configure the template for each device...?

someone knows why this is the way of configuration?

For reference, there's a quote for the Prime-Manual:

"Creating a configuration group allows you to quickly apply new templates without remembering to which devices the new templates should be deployed.

Thanks in advance,

David Goldberger.

there are two sections of templates, the "blank templates" (top in the list) and under "my templates"

you should use the "my templates".

there also may be a dependency that you are not aware of, so some other setting may need to be configured (or corresponding template added to the configuration group) before you can deploy the template.

you can try to run an audit first this will show the setting in the template versus the setting on the device.

this may show what is missing.

Sorry I cant post any examples here, recently our prime environment was decommissioned
