Hi Cisco

Our client was ordered as per below item for Cisco Prime. I am a little bit confuse between Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Prime Infrastructure LMS. Can i have some advice regarding about how to install the software?

1. Do i need to install its separately? Which is Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Prime Infrastructure LMS. or

2. Prime Infrastructure LMS actually is Cisco Prime Infrastructure then only need to install Cisco Prime Infrastructure and load the LMS license into Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

Cisco automatically included licenses for Prime LMS with all Prime Infrastructure 1.x and 2.x orders. They have stopped that practice as of the recently released Prime Infrastructure 3.0 - even though some Prime LMS features still aren't incorporated into Prime Infrastructure (and some might not ever be).

They are completely separate products and, if both are used, need to be installed on separate servers. Prime LMS does a more thorough job managing wired infrastructure.

There is a comparison guide here: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/cloud-systems-management/prime-infrastructure/guide-c07-733198.html
