Just realizing that we don't have room on our ESXI server.
Can Prime be installed on a regular, current generation server (with sufficient CPU, RAM, & disk space)? Or is it only supported as a VM, or on the Cisco appliance hardware?
Thank you.

Prime 3.0 comes in two supported forms Appliance and VM. See here and look at the "Physical Appliance Options" topic. I don't believe you'd get any support if you install prime on any bare metal, whether it works or not a different matter.

Confirm that your server is the Gen 2 (UCS-based) vs. Gen 1 hardware (Cisco-branded IBM server-based).
One quick way to see is if they have teal-colored faceplate (Gen 1) or are silver (Gen 2)
Gen 1 can only get up to 3.0.x. Gen 2 is good going forward.
