cisco works LMS with Read Only community string

Hi,

Can cisco works LMS 3.2 collect devices inventry details with read only string configured in router or we need to confiure read write

string in cisco router. What is priveledge level of username password need to configure in devices.

Hi Dinesh,

Yes you are right  for cisco works to collect the inventory of the devices it needs Only  READ ONLY Community  string.

Read write Community string is requried in case you want to make any changes on the device using cisco works .. for E.g you used NET-CONFIG
