Cisco Works LSM 2.6 upgrade

Hi everyone,

I want to know what should I need to do to make an upgrade from Cisco Works LSD 2.6 to 4.0.

The hardware that I have is:

· Proccesor: Intel Xeon 2Ghz
· Memory RAM: 4GB
· O.S.: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2
· D.D: 270 GB Total

First, check http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.0/install/guide/prereq.html for the necessary requirements for LMS 4.0.  Since you only have a 2 GHz CPU, you may find performance to be lacking.

The upgrade steps can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.0/install/guide/dmg.html#wp1195819 .  You will essentially do a clean installation of LMS 4.0, then restore your 2.6 backup into 4.0.
