CiscoView - No IP address Found

Launching CiscoView from the main portal, if I use the device selector to select a device, I get the following error:

Message

No IP address found for this device. There could be a problem with Domain Name System (DNS) resolution.

If I type in a device IP, CiscoView works as expected. If I select a device within Device center by name, and then select CiscoView, it works fine.

Does Ciscoview actually use DNS instead of the DCR for resolution?

LMS 3.2 (Ciscoview 6.1.9)

Thanks

It seems you are hitting CSCta13528

Workaround:

1. User can keep the DCR Attribute "Display Name" to the old one same as IP

Address or Hostname.

2. User can still continue with edited Display Name and launch ChassisView

from Device Center.

3. User can still continue with edited DCR attribute "Display Name" but with

installing patches cvw6.1.9-win-CSCta135281.0.tar and cvw6.1.9-sol-

CSCta135281.0.tar. These patches make Chassis View launch work for any value

of Display Name.

Those patches can be found at:
