Ciscoworks and Cisco License Manager licensing questions

Does the Cisco License Manager application need a license if installed with ciscoworks LMS 2.5.1 on the same hardware?

If I purchase a license for LMS3.0, does it come along with a Cisco License Manager license or I have to purchase that one separately?

CLM and LMS have nothing to do with each other. LMS comes with its own LicenseServer process that handles keeping track of licenses. All you need to purchase is LMS 3.0, then activate the license. The same was true for LMS 2.5 and 2.5.1.

I read that CLM can be installed with LMS on the same server. Does LMS alone manage and keep track of licenses of devices on the network like CLM?

No, LMS only maintains its own license. CLM and LMS do completely different things.
