CiscoWorks does not authenticate users

Hello,

Yesterday we had a power outage and the CW server went down. It's a Solaris 8 box. There were some file errors which fsck took care of, however things didn't came up cleanly after that.

The server now rejects every attempt to login to CW, we are using internal CW users only, no Tacacs or Radius stuff. I've checked the ani and rme databases and they are fine.

I've searched everywhere but I can't find something to rebuild the user database, or to repair the login manager. Is reinstalling my only option?

Thank you in advance

Carlos

It looks like the OS is corrupted after the power loss. You can try and reinstall CW2K over the original install, but I think the OS is corrupted and will need to wipe everything out and start over. Also check if there is any change like hostname change in the server. fixing that also can solve the issue
