Hi,
We're running CiscoWorks LMS 2.6 and we need to change the IP address of quite a few devices in the network (routers and switches.
In LMS's DCR, there's two mandatory attributes for a defined device : Display name and Management IP address.
Question : is it possible to change the IP address of a managed device in LMS without deleting and recreating the device in the DCR?
Thanks !

Actually, the only mandatory fields are display name and device type. You can change the IP address of any device you want via DCR, or using dcrcli to import your changes.

Another way is to use the command line functions to script the attribute change. You can edit an attribute of a device through the commands (check the RME user guide pdf for correct syntax).
Exporting and re-importing is a quick method, but you will lose all information saved on that device, such as config backups, version tree etc.
