Ciscoworks pinging nonexistant IP's

That pretty much sums it up.  Devices have been deleted... devices that were never added or discovered by CW.  For example, I had created a test vlan interface in an ACE context.  The int has been removed, the IP now unreachable, but CW continues to ping it every minute or so... as is event in the syslogs and our ASA's asdm.

Anyone got an idea on where to look in CW/LMS for devices currently trying to be found/discovered?

Thanks,

Mike

DFM comes to mind.  If DFM discovered a device when the IP was present, it may still think it is there, and thus tries to ping it.  If these devices are managed by DFM, go to DFM > Device Management > Rediscover/Delete, and rediscover these devices to see if the pinging stops.
