Configure Cisco Prime template to remove ACE from an ACL

Hello, I am able to update an existing access-list standard or extended using templates in prime infrastructure 3.7.

However when I try to remove the entry I get errors.

My template:

ip access-list $ACLType $ACLName
no permit  $Device1
no permit $Device2
exit

ip access-list resequence $ACLName 10 10

The error:

Error occured while executing the command no permit.Command Output : no permit
no permit
% Incomplete command.

Is the "no permit" portion not required or needs to be formatted differently?

It works when running from the CLI on the device.

Either "no permit (IPaddress)" or "no permit host (IPaddress)".

I've run into these issues before with Cisco Prime Templates when trying to execute a command.

Usually there's some odd step I need to take in order to get it to work.

I've google searched but all the ACL information points to configuring ACL's for controllers.

I do know that I can delete the entire thing and re-add it without the lines I want to remove but that seems a bit excessive.
