Re: Copy running config to startup config

Hi ,

I want to change enable mode password and then copy the running config to the startup config.

Is there any issue doing this on a production environment ? Any disturbance to ports or normal switch operation ?
Its a 2960 series switch .

Suggestions :

1. make sure you change the enable password and remember ( check any special character and keyboard layout)

2. save the config and test it.

3. this has no impact on the production environment, this is more of management task.

I like the suggestion from @balaji.bandi. But I would advise to test the change before you save it. If you have made the change and save it before you test it and then discover in the test that there is an issue with the change it is more complicated to recover from the error than if you test before you save.
