CPI 2.2 Application Backup

Can anyone confirm if an application backup of CPI 2.2 will include the historical data that has been collected for devices' interface/CPU/memory etc?  I'm referring to a backup like "backup EXAMPLE repository netbackup application NCS".

My small test environment seems to say yes.  This Cisco reference is unclear (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/3-0/administrator/guide/PIAdminBook/backup_restore.html#pgfId-1133475) while this seems to say no (https://mrncciew.com/2015/11/26/cpi-3-0-disk-running-out-of-space/).

For anyone else with the same question...

Having done the export and import to a new version (3.0 in this case) I can confirm all historical data appears to be retained.
