Hi,
I have installed CPI 2.0 and I have almost 100 switches and routers registered.
I would like to monitor a few interfaces (trunk interfaces, not access ports) and i would like to send an email notification when this few interfaces goes up/down. Is it possible?

Hi Gregorio,
Go to Monitor > Alarms > Email Notification > Email Notification Settings > select the category like switche ,router etc..
here you can specify the email adress too.
Hope it will help
Thanks-
Afroz

Thanks for the answer.
If I configure it as you say, I will recieve a email notification for each port, but I don't want recieve a notification when an access port goes down. I would like to monitor only some interfaces, not all of them.
Thanks!

Hi ,
You can select the interfcae for which you do not want the alert as below:
Under Lifecycle Theme, go to Device Work Center Select the device. Under the Configuration tab, select Interfaces. Select the interface and click on Disable. This allows you to select the interface and click on disable which also puts the interface in the Administratively Down state.
Thanks-
Afroz

Thanks for the advice, but I can't do that.
If I do it (disable all access port that I don't want to monitor) I will shutdown all access port, and I will have a problem
I would like to view all interfaces of the switch, but I want to recieve a mail notification only when an importat interface goes down, is it possible?
Thanks
