Data Migration from LMS 2.6 to LMS 3.2

Our current system is LMS 2.6 on Solaris. We are planning a new installation of LMS 3.2 on a Windows server.

How can we migrate the CiscoWorks data from Solaris to Windows?

In the Data Migration Guide for LMS (OL-17909-01) I found examples for remote migrations between two Solaris servers or two Windows servers.

I recall there's verbiage in the documentation that explicitly states data migration across platforms is not supported/possible, but I can't find it right now.

It boils down to the fact that the underlying DB (Sybase?) cannot be migrated between different platforms, as explained here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/671923#671923; only a couple of items can be transferrred between Windows and Solaris.
