Device Discovery limitations for CWLMS

It would appear that there are different discovery limitations between Solaris and Windows, as with a Solaris system more devices are being discovered than on the Windows systems running exactly the same version of software with the same attributes and configuration.

Can anyone advise what the difference in limitation is please?

As far as I know, this is not the characteristic of LMS, it has to do with the hardware....

Things to check:

Are you using the same seed files (for ANI discovery - the most accurate method assuming your have CDP universally enabled)?

Are both hosts on the same VLAN?

Are there any ACLs on devices that might restrict one of the hosts but not the other?

I have used both host types and gotten identical discovery results.
