DFM 3.1 reports power supply NOTPRESENT on cisco 3900

Hi,

DFM3.1 on LMS 3.1 reports power supply NOTPRESENT in detailed device view for cisco 3945.

This will also reported under alert and activities.

Under environment both power supplies are managed and the status is OK but under InterfaceStatus:CARD it shows OTHER for one power supply and NOTPRESENT for the other one. On router cli we can see that both power supplies are up and running.

Is there a workaround for this?

Best regards

Andre

LMS 3.1 is EOS/EOL last year! It may be a DFM issue or device, you should check if via SNMP device is responding correct details.

it is strongly recommended you upgrade to LMS 3.2.x, which should be a free upgrade for you.

Hi Vinod,

thank you for your response. I know that LMS 3.1 is end of all. Device is reachable via snmp without any problem.

DFM can connect to the device with DFM. So it seems that this is a DFM issue? Do you mean that this problem is fixed in LMS 4.2.x?

Best regards

Andre

This needs to be checked if the 39xx is responding properly to snmp for RSP's or not.

Also, i have come across some of the SR's which could not find any issue with LMS. But these are un-reproduced events and may fix, even if you delete/readd device sometimes.

LMS 4.x is a paid upgrade and you have to purchase a License for it, unless your contracts makes you eligible to get it for free, whihc you can check under cisco.com/upgrade.

LMS 3.2.x is free upgrade and you can download it from Cisco.com from here:
