DFM mail notifier

Does anyone know of a way to configure that mail notifier or DFM in general to sent notifications out only during specific times of the day....For example, I don't want to send high utilization notifications at 2:00am when I know there is a backup going on, but I do want to send that during the day.

You can't configure DFM this way, but there is an indirect way you *could* do it.

Read this link to understand how the DFM Adapter works:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/cscowork/ps2421/products_user_guide_chapter09186a008017986c.html

You could in theory, have DFM send an SNMP trap to a network management station (e.g., WhatsUp Professional, SolarWinds, etc), then based on the SNMP trap contents, configure your NMS to either send/not send the appropriate notification, based on your time criteria.

That is what I figured. I just wish the mail notification was a little more sophisticated. I have everything tweaked in the DFM application and it is working well, and that would be a nice feature to have.
