Hi All,

I have been baffled with the DFM re-notification interval for active alerts.

I have been receiving multiple DFM email alerts for active events.

What is the renotification strategy ? What is the interval and can it be set ?

Regards,

Sam

Depending on your notification subscription configuration, you will receive one email when an event goes active, and one when it clears. If you keep getting multiple notifications, the problem may be "flapping."

Additionally, if you have alerts enabled for notifications, you can get one email each time something changes within an alert. Typically, I recommend one disables notifications for alerts since they are not all that useful.

Hi,

When you say disable notification for alerts , do you mean going into 'Notification Groups' and uncheck the selections that involved 'Alerts' (leaving only Events selection' ?

So which means i will only receive Events notifications (both active and cleared ?) ?

Correct on all counts.
