Mods: I do apologize in advance should I not be clear on certain details. Please send me a message if there are things that need to be fixed with this post.
In any event, let's begin.
Background: I have a POTS line connected to a modem inside my computer so that whenever someone rings in, the modem picks up, establishes the connection between two modems, and connects to a BBS.
Well, sorta like a BBS; it's a POTS to telnet solution called SexPOTS (That is literally how it's spelled. Reference may be found here. »wiki.synchro.net/util:sexpots) and it works wonderfully well.
However, it's become an annoyance lately because several people in this group that I am in, have complained that they cannot connect simultaneously and some may find themselves disconnected because the line has call waiting on it (I have two POTS line, with the second POTS line serving as the number for the BBS Telnet solution).
Proposal: I've been thinking about using Cisco equipment.
In particular, I've been leaning towards the Cisco 3600 series since that can support modules I believe that will achieve what I'm trying to do.
I already have a IAD 2431 as a SIP to PRI converter, for lack of a better word, so what's gonna stop me connecting the second T1 port over to the Cisco 3600 series with the appropriate modules?
