Hello,

I would like to know the difference between CiscoWorks Internetwork Performance Monitor and CiscoWorks Health and Utilization Monitor.

Do both the products support bandwidth/network utilization, CPU/Memory usage, device status, graphing and historical reporting.

Thanks.

No. IPM leverages the IP SLA feature on IOS devices to measure latency, availability and jitter. It allows you to configure IP SLA collectors on devices, then allows you to monitor those collectors in realtime, or report on historical stats. It does not support the graphing and reporting of arbitrary MIB objects.

That's where HUM comes in. HUM is like MRTG, cricket, or cacti. It allows one to setup pollers to monitor arbitrary MIB objects, or use built-in templates for CPU, memory, interface utilization, etc.

More on HUM can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9303/index.html . More on IPM can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps1008/index.html .
