HI,
for resolving the problem I had with CiscoWorks and Aliasing I posted a question and I was offered this article that provide a solution as Follows:
Windows 2000 Server
Follow these steps:
To unregister DIServer, run command $NMSROOT\bin\pdreg −u DIServer where $NMSROOT is
CiscoWorks install directory (by default it's C:\Program Files\CSCOpx).
1.
To reregister it, run the command $NMSROOT\bin\pdreg −r DIServer −e
$NMSROOT\objects\inventory\bin\DIServer.exe −f "−I −s −D 0x1 −d 0x1 −a" −d
"EssentialsDbMonitor,EDS"
Well, I did as the articl suggested and it shutdown the DIServer and I cannot re-start this process. I have tried to start the process but I don't see any process "System" or "Process" listed for the DIServer!?
Is there anyway that I can resolved this issue. I have replied to the gentelman who suggested the article and am sorry for re-posting. i just need to take care of this problem as soon as possible and that is why I re-posted as a new conversation.
Regards,
Masood
