DMVPN logging; logging source-interface vlan x - does not work

Hi Guys,

I have spent some time investigating above issue but without any success.

Problem is simple.

syslog logging service instead of using VLAN interface is using one of the active tunnel interfaces:

 config:

Cisco IOS Software, C800 Software (C800-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.4(3)M1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

.

.

Loopback0                  10.254.254.230  YES NVRAM  up                    up
NVI0                       10.254.254.230  YES unset  up                    up
Tunnel0                    10.254.1.230    YES NVRAM  up                    up
Tunnel1                    10.254.2.230    YES NVRAM  up                    up
Vlan1                      10.132.0.250    YES NVRAM  up                    up

.

.

logging source-interface Vlan1
logging host 10.191.13.151

Any knowledge about that bug or maybe this is expected behaviour?

Cheers!

I have this issue, but not specifically with DMVPN. My issue is on an ASR1002

I have a logging server on 10.10.10.20

Lo0 is 172.31.31.1 /32

Ge0/0 is 192.168.101.0 /24

my config contains :

logging source-interface Loopback0

logging trap notifications

logging host 10.10.10.20

Syslog arrives on 10.10.10.20 but sourced from GE0/0.... Frustrating...

I have exactly the same problem on a ISR 4451.

Same config, same result..
