Does LMS supports snmp informs instead of traps?

Hi all,

I have to install LMS 3.0. Does the LMS supports SNMP INFORMS instead of TRAPS.It will be great if someone can give me the information regarding this with some documentation.

No, LMS (i.e. DFM) only supports SNMP v1/v2c traps.

Thanks for the quick reply. The question of support of SNMP INFORMS arise when the customer said sometimes the TRAPS are lost on the way.

Is it true? Its a MPLS ring LMS is going to be installed to manage the PE routers.

It is possible that traps could be lost on the way. You can help the odds by also sending syslog messages to RME. Hopefully one of the two messages will make it to the LMS server. You could also prioritize such messages in your QoS configs.
