Doing netbackup on LMS/CNR/CSM?

Hi Folks,

Is there any issues with trying to do backup using symantec netbackup on the following?

What database does LMS, CNR and CSM use? Thinking to install the backup agent that supports those database types. Is that possible? Please advice. Thanks.

LMS 4.1

CNR v8

CSM 4.1

Don't know about CNR.

For LMS and CSM, both should be Sybase SQL Anywhere. The LMS instances I managed had netbackup doing the whole-system backup, without any specific provision (exclusion or inclusion) for LMS. However, the Cisco-supported approach is to: 1) Configure LMS to back up its own db (either through the GUI or /opt/CSCOpx/bin/backup.pl). There's a choice of an online or an offline mode, at least with the CLI script. Then 2) make sure your netbackup is configured to back up the output of that.

thanks, fyi, cnr is the same, backup using its script and backup whole os and backup file, excluding the CNR partition.
