Emai SMTP settings on Cisco Prime Infrastructure

Hello,

Hope someone can help me ,

I have a prime infrastructure installed in our network the and we are trying to configure email notification.

after configuring the SMTP setting using office 365 online, its showing Failed to send mail using primary SMTP server:
Unknown SMTP host: outlook.office365.com,

Any advice.

are you able to ping the SMTP server from PI server ?

Yeah sure..

if you are giving the "sever name" , try with the Ip address  and see how it works

this issue is from SMTP side only.. check the configuration at SMTP side.

Also, does this same SMTP server work for other NMS

Hello, 

lets say i want to use the gmail smtp does it works ?

concerning the SMTP of the office365 its reachable and i can see the traffic from the FW going out and in .
