The errors count refers to the number of times the firewall sent a syslog, and received an ICMP port unreachable back from the syslog server (i.e. the number of times the syslog server was done when the firewall sent a syslog message).  The dropped counter indicates how many messages were dropped in a five second window when the host was unreachable.
