Hi all,
We are running Cisco Prime 3.1 for 100+ routers and switches.
Within our organisation more and more other parties want location info from users. For example: user A with ip address 10.1.2.50 is located at site X.
In order to offer something dynamic, I was planning on setting up a database with a list of all our user subnets + mask + location info. Something like this:
10.1.2.1 255.255.255.0 Router A
10.1.3.1 255.255.255.0 L3 switch B
Etc
This would allow other parties to query this db with there dafault gateway, and have the router name info returned to them. The router name includes the location, so location could be easily derived from the router name.
Question now is how to complete this db with Cisco Prime 3.1? With API or a report? Are there any out of the box solutions for this?
Thanks!

It sounds like the Clients and Users report has everything you need.
If you're not familiar with it, it's under Monitor > Monitoring Tools > Clients and Users.
You can click the settings gear icon on the page to customize which headers you need in the report.

Hi David,
I had a look at that report and it does not show the information i need, on our routers we have a separate VLAN configured for local internet breakout, but on no report can i get the detail of that IP address, I can however in the reports section pull a detailed inventory report but this just shows me the interface description. The only place I can seem to find this information is to click on the actual device > Interfaces>IP Interfaces

Jason
