Favorite Port Scanner

I'm currently using a few tools, LanGuard, SuperScan3.0 and SolarWinds Eng. ToolKit but I'd like to find something that allows me to scan at Layer 2 and find info. at Layer 3 and info,. on ports, ports in use and MIB info. vs having several apps open at the same time. 

What's your fav. tool that accomplishes the aforementioned?

I use Kali Linux or Nmap port scanner is free and open source.

cisco ISE uses the same tool inside.
