Firepower Management Centre LOM Model 1600

Hi,

I have an FMC 1600 Appliance installed with V7.0.1.1

If the appliance loses power I need a lights out Management interface to power the device back on. Via FMC GUI, Console Configuration, there is an option to select Lights Out Management and configure an IP address. However after the IP address has been configured, a reboot is required. After the reboot the LOM IP address has not been saved. When monitoring the reboot from VGA, there is now no option to enter CIMC config mode.

Has anybody managed to configure Lights out Management on an FMC 1600 appliance.

thanks

Ian

Hi Balaji,

Thanks for the reply. I have been following the document that you suggested without success.

There is no CIMC option on FMC appliance at reload, and I am unable to configure a LOM IP address using the GMC GUI.

Not sure where went wrong :

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Can you confirm how I get an IP address on the LOM port? Should I be using the ipmiutil and connect to the FMC Management eth0 interface?

I'm not sure how this would work in the event of loss of power to the appliance, as the interface is not active.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as the cisco document us not clear.
