GPS DATA extrapolation from IE 5000

Hello,

We are currently use a IE 5000 ethernet switch with a GPS antenna connected. From the switch shell we are correctly able to read the GPS position and time. What we want to do is extract these information from a computer connected to the switch without using enable CLI.

Is there a way to interface the switch to acquire the info or they are only provided for PTP feature debug purpose?

We inspect the data provided via ProfiNet connection too but these data are not included.

I'm not sure how this works on the IE5000 (it's not GPS it's called GNSS)

here is an document for LTE/GPS modems
LTE GPS Deployment Guide for ISR and CGR Using Verizon 4G LTE (cisco.com)

look at section: Sample Application for Streaming GPS NMEA Information via IP to a Location Service
maybe something similar can be used on the IE5000
