High CPU Usage WS-C3560G-24TS

Hello,

I have just added a network to my layer 3 switch. The new network is doing multicast, and I beleive that is what is causing high CPU usage. When i disconnect the network from the port, CPU goes down.

I do not see any packet drops, no queues maxed out, no reason for the high CPU basically. Below is a diagram of the network.

Attached are some outputs from basic troubleshooting

Let me know if more information is needed.

Could it be the switch is not able to handle multicast?

Doing some more research, I am seeing the bod hop counter go up pretty quickly.

#sh ip traffic | i bad hop
3179 format errors, 0 checksum errors, 8098138 bad hop count
#sh ip traffic | i bad hop
3179 format errors, 0 checksum errors, 8098146 bad hop count

#sh ip traffic | i bad hop

Could this mean I need to increase the TTL on the multicast packet?

Thanks
