OIur security folks have requested that the tomcat in CW LMS 3.2 be started with the -security switch (Tomcat Security Manager). I am unable to find the script that actually makes the call to start tomcat (startup.sh or even catalina.sh). Does anyone know how this is accomplished once /etc/init.d/dmgtd start is executed? We are on Solaris 10.
Tomcat is started using /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/bin/startup.sh, which calls catalina.sh. However, you cannot modify these scripts without explicit TAC instruction. Doing so would render your LMS installtion unsupported by TAC.
