Hi,
I have a question regarding applying configuration on NXOS.
Is there a way to apply a configuration file to running-config so that it will completely replace the old running-config by the new configuration? To be specific, I want the config to be replaced, not merged. I have found the checkpoint/rollback feature, but it support rolling back the running-config to a configuration in a file that we have previously checkpointed, but cannot append/modify to the checkpointed file to add/remove configurations.
My workflow is, when applying a config, revert the configuration to a bootstrap config and add new stuff there. I would ideally like the config that is same in the new config and the existing running-config not to be affected. This could have worked, if I would have checkpointed the bootstrap config to a file, then when applying new config, append the new config to the end of this file, and do rollback from this file. But it does not work!
Thanks for any pointers.
