HSRP : CPU Estimation for Catalyst 6500 Series VSS / SUP720 10G

Hi everybody,

Sorry for my bad english,

Here the facts, I have 4 Catalyst 6509 equiped with a SUP720 distributed on 2 Datacenter :

• 2 Switches configure with VSS on my 1st Datacenter
• 2 Switches configure with VSS on my 2nd Datacenter

I propagate several VLANs between my 2 Datacenters (around 128). I would like to use "HSRP Filtering" to have my virtual gateways active on my 2 Datacenters without use link between them.

I know how to configure but my question is :
Does anyone have an idea about CPU utilization for 1 HSRP instance on Catalyst 6500 Series with VSS ?

I need to estimate the CPU load before the configuration to be sure that will not impacted my other services.

I am also interested in enabling PBR on a VSS, but I would like to understand what kind of impact it might have on the vss cpu.
