Hello,
I have a C2901 and 2 HWIC-16A for terminal server purpose.
Today I am trying to integrate 2 brand new catalyst c9300 I Don't find why I Don't succeed to
I add regularly new equipment and with c9300 I have “connection refused”, but I use a computer (without using my terminal server) it works fine …
My terminal server configuration:
interface Async0/0/14 no ip address encapsulation slip ! interface Async0/0/15 no ip address encapsulation slip ! line 0/0/14 0/0/15 exec-timeout 0 0 disconnect-character 3 no exec transport input telnet ssh transport output telnet ssh escape-character BREAK stopbits 1 flowcontrol hardware
I had try to change value of flowcontrol but nothing change, and change standard speed to autobaud. When I use autobaud speed is at 2400 (verify with show line)
Show terminal in C9300
Switch>sh ter Line 0, Location: "", Type: "" Length: 24 lines, Width: 80 columns Baud rate (TX/RX) is 9600/9600, no parity, 1 stopbits, 8 databits Status: PSI Enabled, Ready, Active, Automore On Capabilities: none Modem state: Ready Switch 1: RJ45 Console is in use Special Chars: Escape Hold Stop Start Disconnect Activation ^^x none - - none Timeouts: Idle EXEC Idle Session Modem Answer Session Dispatch 00:10:00 never none not set Idle Session Disconnect Warning never Login-sequence User Response 00:00:30 Autoselect Initial Wait not set Modem type is unknown. Shell: disabled Shell trace: off No output characters are padded No special data dispatching characters
And configuration of line console:
Switch#sh run | se line line con 0 stopbits 1
have you some clues ?
thanks
best regards
forgive my approximate English.

try to force the baud rate to 9600

Hello,
Thanks for your reply
It is forced to 9600 but I believe, because it is the default value it is not displayed in standard “sh run” but in “show line” value is set at 9600
I think understand why I have “connection refused”, at the first connection I don’t have the message, but it like the connection can’t be ended. I must wait for the time out.
“Clear line” have no effect a little “asterisk” still on the line.
So at the first connection I have the cursor blinking but key don’t have any effect
But there is something new … I had disconnect an usb flash drive and a notice message was printed on the “active” session. Very strange
Again trying my best to explain with my approximate English, please forgive me.

hello,
if I make "no flowcontrol" it works
it seems different a behavior than "flowcontrol none"
maybe bug ?
