My syslog server is blowing up with "ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_ERR: Controller error, controller number 0-4: accessing failed" messages from my 3550/3560-24/48-PWR-SMI switches running 12.2(46)SE. The Error Message Decoder was no help and I've been unable to find any docs with troubleshooting steps or bugs identified. The switches are both supplying and not supplying inline power to VoIP Phones and etc.
If anyone could point me to a troubleshooting guide or Cisco documentation that identifies that the alerts are non-impacting to the switch’s inline power capabilities that would be grand. Oh and possibly how to disable the alerts if that is the case.

The only instances of these messages I see in TAC service requests point to a true controller failure requiring an RMA of new hardware to fix.
