installing new IOS

hi,

I want to take an IOS image off a router (12.2) and install it on another router (12.4) as I think that version is causing problems. Is this procedure OK?

log on to 12.2 router

copy flash tftp

log on to 12.4 router

copy tftp flash

reboot

That is basically it.

Keep a couple of things in mind thought.

Ram memory requirements

Flash memory requirements

Feature set of IOS

Also your config is likely to change if you go from 12.4 to 12.2 so you may wish to back it up, just like the 12.4 IOS
