Hey guys, can someone please explain me the difference between notconnected and xcvrAbsen status, is that normal in Cisco Nexus 9k?

Thanks.

Hi!

Yes can confirm,

xcvrAbsen means that there is no SFP inserted or not detected because of some physical problem.

notconnected means that there is a SFP insterted OR we have a fixed copper port on the switch AND there is a link on that interface.

I hope that helps,
Julian

 - Looks to me like a port where a transceiver is absent or not detected.
