Inventory Management using CiscoWorks

Hi,

Is the inventory management using Cisco Works is fruitful? I mean to say that, is this an efficient way or we have to look any other s/w for just inventory management?

I think it is fruitful. We aim to provide as much inventory details as possible to facilitate asset tracking. Admittedly there are a few things (such as GBIC/XenPak serial numbers) which are currently missing, but we have enhancement requests already in place to get those added.

But you should make an informed decision for yourself. Download the 90-day eval from http://www.cisco.com/go/lms/ , and see if RME;s inventory reports satisfy your needs.

Hunn...thanks for you feedback. We have LMS server for other purposes, now i was thinking to use the same for inventory management.
